sat in dorm rooms listening to their trivia
if I can't recite the vinyls of the indie rock gods
must be lying, must be indie pop fraud
man I tried but I could never roll with the squad

can't seem to find it
can't locate my tiny world
we don't talk like that they tell me
with their eyes
so I bought a plane ticket and dove for that shiny pearl
a home all of our own,
we built it on the sly
